Tijuana

On a visit to San Diego in 2003, the girls decided that they wanted to cross the border and shop in Tijuana.  I had a camera with me (my Sony CD400 digital camera) and I thought this would be a good opportunity to grab a few shots.

Sue and Lauren, just after crossing the border into Tijuana.

All shots on this page used the Sony CD400 Mavica.

One of the main shopping streets in Tijuana.  It had been about 20 years since I did anything other than just pass through Tijuana.  The town is much nicer than it used to be.

An interesting macro shot of the some of the trinkets for sale.

Another "Reflections" shot.  Check out the sunglasses and how they frame the umbrella perfectly.  You can even see the photographer in this shot.

Velour artwork for sale in Mexico.  Some things never change.

Tiny guitars for sale.

An interesting shot of a thong.  This is what almost cost Bill Clinton the presidency...

Many of the drugs requiring prescriptions in the U.S. can be bought over the counter in Mexico.  This pharmacy opened to the street.
A church in Tijuana.

Inside the church.  The Sony CD400 does very well on these interior shots without flash.

A figure for sale on a Tijuana street corner.
